About Murray Gordon |
|
Murray Gordon works as an executive
coach and organizational consultant, in New York
City, and other areas.
He works with individuals, assisting them to
clarify their goals, through gaining insight into
their personal motivations and desires in life.
Individual coaching is available in-person, by
phone, via e-mail, or via video conference.
He also consults to organizations, using psychodynamic
and systems methodologies to help businesses and
not-for-profit enterprises clear away unproductive
social and emotional dynamics so that they can
more effectively fulfil their mission. |

After receiving his psychology degree at the University
of the Witwatersrand, Murray Gordon trained as a therapist
with Dr. R.D. Laing and the Philadelphia Association
in London, England. He also trained in a variety of
humanistic therapy methods, including encounter groups,
gestalt, re-birthing therapy and other techniques, including
the human relations techniques of the Tavistock Institute
of Human relations. While in London, he received a master
of arts degree in humanistic psychology (M.A.H.P.) form
Antioch University International.
Murray wen to the U.S. in 1980, where he studied philosophy,
and later computer science. He received masters degrees
in both disciplines. He worked for 15 years as a computer
consultant and CEO of a software development company.
He the trained as an organizational consultant and
executive coach with the William
Alanson White Psychoanalytic Institute in New York
City.
He now works as a coach and organizational consultant,
working chiefly from a systems-psychodynamic perspective.
He engages in work with individuals and businesses in
a variety of roles.
